Publix's NEW Coupon Policy

Have you heard about or seen Publix's NEW coupon policy? Finally, they came out with an OFFICIAL policy.. which is great. Read about it below or click here:

Publix accepts manufacturers’ coupons (limit one per item), Publix coupons (originals only—no copies), valid Internet coupons, and coupons from nearby competitors identified by each Publix store. (Competitor names are posted at each Publix store.) We will accept coupons from competing pharmacies for prescriptions only. We will not accept percent-off-items or percent-off-total-order coupons. We will only accept coupons for identical merchandise we sell. Acceptance is subject to any restrictions on the coupon, and we reserve the right to limit quantities. Manager approval is needed for individual coupons above $5.00. For a buy-one-get-one free (BOGO) offer, each item is considered a separate sale. We will accept a manufacturer’s coupon and either a Publix or a competitor coupon on the same item. Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix and one competitor coupon per order. The order total must be equal to or greater than the total purchase requirements indicated on the coupon(s) presented.

--------------------------------------
Each Publix has their own written list of whom they consider competitors. Make sure to call your local store to learn about theirs!

-------------------------------------
My store is #1292, Gulf Shores, AL. The list of competitors my store takes is:
Target
Bruno's
Winn-Dixie
Dollar General
Family Dollar

Only certain stores in the Atlanta division double coupons. Some sites tell you that ALL Publix' double coupons -- and that is NOT true. South AL & Florida stores DO NOT double coupons. Some of my favorite sites to get my Publix match ups at are based in the Atlanta Division stores and their stores double coupons. But it frustrates me to no end, when I hear other couponers/shoppers in my local store tell the cashier ahead of me -- insisting -- that Publix doubles coupons. I've been shopping at Publix long enough to know that many stores know their coupon policy. With this said, the stores in South AL & Florida do not have a penny item or a senior citizen day like the ATL division does.

Also, my Publix (Gulf Shores, AL) has said that they will continue to take the Catalina (manuf. coupons that print at the register) coupons from their competitors. Or even better, they will continue to accept the Walgreens' RR because they are manuf. coupons; one per order. Even though it might say "redeem only at walgreens" if it has a 5 or a 9 as the beginning number to the bar code then it is still considered a manufacturer coupon and not a competitor coupon.
The manager is currently working very hard to see if they can get mainly Walgreens but CVS too added to their competitor list.. though, I must say, our Publix has the largest list of competitors that they will accept from in our area.. or maybe even the state!
