6/25/11 Wal-Mart Trip :: COMPLETELY FREE

I went shopping after I got off of work on Friday evening (well since I didn't get off until around midnight, would it actually be considered Saturday morning???) to Wal-Mart to get 8 pkgs of Tic Tacs (green apple flavor), which I previously mentioned my Wal-Mart had on clearance for $0.50. I used (8) $0.75/1 coupons and got a grand total of $1.60 back in CASH! My husband was so excited! He was actually instructed not to touch the tic tacs until after I had taken my pictures. hehe

p.s. it took me over an hour to construct this graphic -- I'm a little rustier in photoshop than I've previously though :(  However I did get my inspiration from this scrapbook template. I'd also like to thank my Mom for sending me like 6 of these tic tac coupons! I love that she sends me her extra coupons from her paper every week. This is the best example I have to date to show why coupons are so awesome!

I always mail an extra coupon to my Mom who isn't very computer-savvy. I know she really appreciates getting great coupons in the mail. And even better, about weekly now, she mails me her extra coupons from her Sunday paper and sometimes the ones she gets in the mail (if I have a coupon mailed to her house that she doesn't think she'll use, she'll send it to me :D). For an extra coupon by mail, I would suggest asking your friends or neighbors if they mind if you have a coupon mailed to their house as well. Whenever I send my Mom these coupons I put their dog's name on it (thank god, he has a normal name and not one like Fluffy or something!) that way she'll know that I sent it and that it's not junk mail. The turn around for getting Bricks coupons by mail is actually pretty good. I usually receive these coupons within a week or so after requesting them.

The price is always right with this product and it's a great item to donate!


I realize I might sound selfish asking for a sample of a product I don't even use, but I do donate and/or give to my friends that are less fortunate and I think that has to always count for something!

I always love when a store pays you to take it's products! It doesn't always happen as often in the South US but we take what we can get down here. :)

My Rite Aid Experience, yesterday

I wanted to blog today about the experience I had yesterday at Rite Aid.. and let me tell you it wasn't a pleasant one. I had all of my transactions broken up, however, some of them they were completely wiped out of the product (no St. Joseph's aspirin or Colgate toothpaste, wtf?) and the other the cashier didn't know how to handle my coupons. At one point she voided a transaction and with that the coupons should have been voided off but instead they said they couldn't take my coupons for a different transaction because even though they've been voided by the computer the computer now considered them dead coupons. I am very lucky that my Publix takes Rite Aid coupons because I'm not sure how much longer I can continue to shop at Rite Aid. My cashier(s) were both very rude. I think she was starting to be very frustrated at ME for daring to use coupons at her store (I think she might have been the manager). I tried to get the Dial Body wash deal however the computer refused my coupon and the manager/cashier lady insisted it had to be because I didn't get the Nutriskin stuff because that was what was shown on the picture.  Anywhere else I've used those coupons at I haven't had a problem with the register taking them.. just at Rite Aid. Did anyone else encounter this problem?

Wal-Mart scenario with Tic Tacs

I was at the Gulf Shores, Wal-Mart this evening and was able to find the green apple tic tacs on CLEARANCE for $0.50 each. I got the $0.75/1 *regional* coupon in my newspaper last Sunday. I was so happy to get the product for free and score overage. Be sure to check your local Wal-Mart's clearance section.. you never know what kind of awesome deal you might find!
